Each year we hold a competition between both nurseries around Spring time to regenerate and rejuvenate the nursery gardens!
This year both nurseries put in an amazing effort, transforming their planting areas, bug hotels, mud kitchens and dens ready for the Summer. The children all helped and enjoyed lots of fun activities on the judging day!
Our Turner Road site were extra lucky to have a frog appear in their garden on the morning of judging! This was looked after for the day whilst the children enjoyed learning about frogs - the lifecycle of them, where they live and what they like to eat, before being released back into the garden.
This year the competition was judged by our wonderful nursery Chef's Netty and Jodie! The criteria looked at longevity of the displays and areas, child input, family input and creativity. Each area was marked with a total of 100 points up for grabs.
The competition was high this year and the standard so good across the board that our judges decided the fairest result was a draw. Huge congratulations to both sites! The gardens all look lovely ready for the Summer and the children are very lucky to have such wonderful new experiences!
